Cranfield University, we look at how to load GIS Shapefile data into the ESRI ArcGIS Online web tool. In brief you need to save your GIS data out to a shape file and load a zip file of all of the associated files into ArcGIS Online. An alternate method would be to use ESRI ArcSDE to host data which would then be consumed in ArcGIS Online – but the method shown in this video is a quick way to load data in directly.
